Surprise Engagement Session: Cy and Baileigh

Have you ever been part of a surprise engagement? Whether you are the help or you are the one proposing, there is a TON of pressure. There’s timing, location, making sure the photographer can hide/blend in, while also making sure they will be able to capture the reaction to the big moment.

So when Cy reached out to me and explained his idea of proposing under the guise of just “checking out a potential venue” for when they DO decide to get married, I was so excited to take on the challenge.

I enlisted the help of my Boyfriend Adam to blend in at Sprout Springs Estates Winery and Vineyard because the spot we were planning the proposal was wide open. Beautiful, but absolutely nowhere to hide. Adam and I grabbed a sample of wine and laid a blanket out on the ground as if we were just enjoying the scenery.

At exactly 7:30, Cy and Baileigh headed our way and walked into place underneath a large tree that was several yards in front of Adam and I, the vineyard in the background. As soon as Cy goes to pop the questions, I throw my camera up and start snapping!

The whole thing turned out so perfect and Baileigh was definitely surprised. Sprout Springs Estates Winery and Vineyard in Blaine, TN is a beautiful backdrop for any kind of session, be it engagement, individual, or family. Remember to contact me to book your own photoshoot at the beautiful location.

Without further ado, enjoy this beautiful surprise proposal and engagement shoot.
