Mead’s Quarry Engagement Session: Chelsea and Daniel

I’m so in love with the photos that came out of this engagement session and I want to tell you why you should consider having your own photo session at Ijams or Mead’s Quarry in Knoxville. But first, I just want to walk you through how this session went.

I knew Chelsea from years ago when we worked at a local restaurant together, which is why I was so excited when she reached out to me about doing her and Daniel’s engagement session. They chose Mead’s Quarry because it’s somewhere that they have spent a lot of time together, and I was very excited to do a shoot there. Unfortunately, we had to reschedule the session several times due to crazy summer weather and illness, but we finally made it… on one of the hottest days we’ve seen during summer 2022.

We were all sweating profusely the entire time and even the water at the quarry was like sitting in a bathtub. But with Chelsea’s queen status makeup application and Daniel’s willingness to continue even though he was on the verge of heat stroke (I’m exaggerating of course... well kinda), we were able to capture some beautiful photos to commemorate their engagement.

Here’s your reminder: MOTHER NATURE will not always cooperate, sometimes there will be intense heat, rain, fog, etc. But I will say, the more we can roll with the punches of whatever mother nature is serving us and have fun with it, the more likely you’ll end up with amazing photos.

Chelsea and Daniel did amazing even though the heat was miserable and I’m so glad I got to capture these photos.

Now before I get to sharing the photos, I did want to emphasize how amazing Ijams and Mead’s Quarry are for any kind of session. There are woods, water, fields, and several unique and interesting features throughout the park, and they are all relatively close in proximity. So if you want photos with a lot of variety, I definitely suggest that you consider one of these two for your session.

The good news is, I am currently a permit holder for shooting at Ijams and Mead’s Quarry, so we will have no issues having our photo session there when you choose to book with me!

Without further ado, here are the photos!
